Kozaemon Sakura Nama – The living spring in the sake glass

Kozaemon Sakura Nama Prov

Dear connoisseur

With the cherry blossom festival hanami, the Japanese honour the beauty, preciousness and transience of life. This wonderful Japanese tradition is celebrated in a convivial atmosphere throughout the archipelago, from the coasts to the mountainous regions, such as in Gifu Prefecture.

And that’s our cue! Because when a sake bears the name of the Japanese cherry blossom sakura, we have a good idea of what to expect…

The living spring in the sake glass
On the main island of Honshū, on the banks of the Tokigawa River, lies the small town of Mizunami, home to the even smaller, fine family brewery Nakashima. For over 300 years now, Nakashima has been brewing uncannily sophisticated and high-quality sake - an art that you may recognize and enjoy in this sake drop by drop.

Pasteurised only once (nama = raw), the highly complex and flavourfully intriguing Kozaemon Sakura Nama is lively, fruity and fresh, with a medium-bodied profile and a long, creamy smooth finish.

A special nihonshu that is rarely found in Switzerland.
And a small batch of this exclusive sake is now available again.
Enjoy your toast. Kanpai!
